At the heart of Jutland, Esbjerg port is more than just a stopover for ships. It is Europe’s main hub for offshore turbine transport, handling over 6,000 vessels each year and supporting more than 1,500 MW of wind energy.
With operations this busy, the existing control room was no longer up to the task. The renovation, funded by the INTERREG DIOL initiative, aimed to modernize the facilities while enhancing oversight of all activities.
Operators needed a solution that could seamlessly manage cameras, servers, web streams, drones, and airport communications, all in a system that is easy and intuitive to use.
Our solution
We tackled the challenge by combining technical precision with a focus on user experience:
➡️ Conducted a detailed needs assessment to map critical workflows and operational scenarios.
➡️ Fully equipped the control space with workstations, an 8-screen 46" LCD video wall arranged in two rows, a 75" interactive touchscreen, and more.
➡️ Integrated with the Milestone VMS, controllable via tablet to simplify operations.
➡️ Enabled multi-source display, bringing together cameras, servers, drones, web streams, and airport communications, all accessible simultaneously.
